As an Outside Sales Representative, your primary responsibility will be to establish and maintain strong business relationships with electrical distributors and contractors in the Houston area. You will play a crucial role in driving sales and promoting our products and services to these distributors.
· Market Research:
Conduct an ongoing data base of project business in the Corpus, Victoria, and Rio Grande Valley Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies to develop effective sales approaches.
· Relationship Building:
Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and purchasing managers at electrical wholesale distributors. Maintain regular contact with existing customers to ensure their needs are met and identify opportunities for upselling.
· Sales Presentations:
Prepare and deliver compelling product presentations to potential and existing customers. Highlight the key features, advantages, and benefits of our offerings to demonstrate their value.
· Product Knowledge:
Develop a deep understanding of our products or services, including their technical specifications and applications. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies in the electrical field.
· Sales Strategies:
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets and quotas. Identify and capitalize on cross-selling and upselling opportunities within the product portfolio.
· Negotiation and Closing:
Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements with customers to secure sales. Close deals and secure orders, ensuring all necessary paperwork and documentation are completed accurately.
· Customer Service:
Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests. Act as a liaison between customers and internal coworkers to ensure a smooth sales process.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales pipeline.
· Proven experience in outside sales, particularly in the electrical or related industry, is a plus-not required
· Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
· Excellent presentation and public speaking abilities.
· Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a demonstrated ability to work independently.
· Knowledge of electrical products, distributors, and the local market is a plus.-Will teach and train
